SHERMAN OAKS, CA, August 5, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Laurie Russell, Senior Director of Corporate Accounting at KB Home, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in accounting.

A self-described "stickler for waste," Ms. Russell has been instrumental in identifying areas of cost savings. She has 25 years of professional experience, with the last 19 of these years devoted to KB Home. As the senior director of the corporate accounting department, she is in charge of consolidating and reporting historical data for the company, including involvement with all SEC filings. Ms. Russell considers doing work that allows her to make the most of her passion and aptitude for numbers to be the most enjoyable aspect of her career. She is especially proud of her close association with KB Home, a homebuilder known for providing an exceptional product, and attributes her success to working with a great group of individuals who support and learn from one another.

Ms. Russell received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting in 1984 from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. In the future, she plans to venture into consulting work. A woman of diverse interests, she would also like to expand beyond the accounting field and increase her involvement in volunteer work
