He became involved in his profession because he was motivated by one of his friends, who was in the healthcare industry. He attributes his success to his persistence and passion for his profession.

Mr. Barnett received his bachelor's degree in accounting from Arkansas State University in 1986, and his master's degree in healthcare administration from Regis University in 2005. He is a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association and the American College of Healthcare Executives.
