TULSA, OK, October 04, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Ted Timmermans, Chief Accounting Officer, Vice President and Controller for The Williams Companies, Inc., has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in technical financial accounting and reporting.

Having spent his entire career at The Williams Companies, Inc., Mr. Timmermans' 31 years have afforded him with many opportunities to contribute to the areas of financial accounting, corporate taxation, auditing and financial planning. Currently, he fulfills the positions of chief accounting officer, vice president and controller. While supervising company directors and 30 staff members, he facilitates reporting to the United States Securities and Exchange Commission and provides oversight to company accounting functions. Surrounded by excellent leaders and mentors, he credits his achievements to his good fortune in working for such a well-reputed company.

At The University of Tulsa, Mr. Timmermans received an MBA in 1983, followed by a master's degree in taxation in 1991. A certified public accountant, he belongs to Financial Executives International, as well as the Oklahoma and American organizations for certified public accountants. In the future, Mr. Timmermans hopes to become well-versed in navigating challenges concerning the changing rules of accounting and financial reporting.
