With an extensive background in financial services that spans 22 years, Christopher J. Monte specializes in corporate income tax and consolidated tax return analysis for the health care sector. At his current post with LifePoint Hospitals, he is responsible for managing tax compliance, processing payroll, preparing tax returns, and generating financial and employment tax reports. Mr. Monte began his career with Arthur Young & Company in Nashville in 1989. The Arthur Young & Company merged with Ernst & Whinney to form Ernst & Young. He then worked in the Nashville office of Ernst & Young until 2001 and was later transferred to the Columbus office. He left Ernst & Young in 2005 and started working at LifePoint Hospitals, Inc. as vice president of the tax department in 2005.

Mr. Monte notes that an innate interest in finance inspired him to become involved in his profession. Dedication and attention to detail are the undisputed keys to his career success. A certified public accountant, he received his bachelor's degree in business administration in 1989 from the University of Tennessee at Martin. He is a member of the Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants, Tax Executives Institute, Inc., and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
