With 29 years of experience, Ms. Kowal has worked for one year as the founder and CEO of A Surprise For You Inc., providing food, wine and crafts gift baskets. Her responsibilities include overseeing customer purchases, ensuring quality packaging services, and communicating with wholesale business and corporate clients. She also works as the lead negotiator for all distributor rights and contracts. She is recognized for demonstrating an expertise in accounting, and with her entrepreneurial spirit, she hopes to establish her own firm in her community.

A certified management accountant, Ms. Kowal received a Master of Business Administration in 1999, and earned a Bachelor of Arts in 1975. She is a member of the alumni associations for Queen's University and the University of Waterloo. Ms. Kowal serves as chairwoman for St. John's Ambulance and is also affiliated with CMA Ontario.
