During her career, she has developed her expertise in accounting and finance. In her current position, she is responsible for providing services to the U.S. Department of Defense and the military. She also launches training sites and manages national accounts. In addition, Ms. Buettner works as a subcontractor for Northrop Grumman Mission Systems, Inc. Previously, she worked for the U.S. Department of Defense for 32 years; she started her career at the GS-2 grade and retired at the GS-11 grade.

A mentor to young women, Ms. Buettner believes that with hard work and determination, anything is possible. She previously served as the vice president, treasurer and secretary of the American Society of Military Comptrollers. Driven by her willingness to learn, she has reached the pinnacle of her career. In the future, Ms. Buettner intends to reside at the U.S. Army headquarters in Huntsville, Ala.
