MONROE, NC, June 17, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Jay K. Becker, Director of Vendor Management and Data Integrity for Family Dollar Stores, Inc., has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in retail management.

At Family Dollar Stores, Inc., Mr. Becker oversees a vendor management group, redefining seller relations and legally upgrading the company's vendor guidelines, policies, and documentation. He maintains vendor records and a database that produces a comprehensive financial plan and compliance scorecard. Mr. Becker is also responsible for managing Item Data Integrity which drives all systems within the Company from its plan-o-grams to pricing structure.

Prior to his current contributions at Family Dollar, Mr. Becker was the store operations manager at Pic N Pay Stores where he developed policy guidelines and a comprehensive store bonus plan that rewarded success. In 1974, Mr. Becker received a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Massachusetts Lowell. He is an active member of the retail council for the Vendor Compliance Federation. He was also recognized by Pic N Pay Shoes with a District Manager of the Year Award prior to his corporate promotion. In the future, Mr. Becker hopes to develop new technologies in order to keep his business up-to-date.
