Mr. Schirmer has 23 years of overall professional experience, and has been with Lake Michigan Credit Union for 17 years. His daily responsibilities include ensuring profitability, and overseeing the finance department, corporate budget, mortgages, card and ATM services. He is the Chairman for the Investment, Asset, Liability and Pension Committees.

In 1986, Mr. Schirmer received his Bachelor of Business Administration from Western Michigan University. He is a member of the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the National Association of State Chartered Credit Union Supervisors, and the Credit Union Executives Society.
