Her book titled, "How To Quit Smoking Even If You Don't Want To," was published in 2000, and revised in 2009. Ms. Miller has 15 years of professional experience. At BMP Productions, Barbara facilitates the one day quit smoking workshop that comes from her book. BMP Productions is known as an employee health benefit for large and small organizations and is expanding the business by hiring account managers. One of its largest contracts was with the Vancouver Island Health Authority with a staff of 18,000. A brand new goal currently being implemented is speaking on a variety of topics for motivating and inspiring people to prevent drug and alcohol addictions as well as crisis areas, such as suicide prevention.

Ms. Miller is a self made woman with a Certified Competent Toastmaster Certificate. She is the former ambassador of the local Chamber of Commerce. In 2002, she received the Greater Victoria Chamber of Commerce Ambassador and Volunteer Award. Additionally, she received the Vancouver Island Women's Business Network Top Achiever Award in 1997 and 1998.
